Alive Student Ministries

It’s hard to sometimes know when you’re winning in student ministry. Like, is anything we’re teaching actually sinking in? Are students really growing in their faith? That’s why we’ve decided to go ahead and define the big win for our ministry. It’s the one thing that we, as a ministry team, want to achieve. It’s the goal we want to keep in mind at all times. And it’s what motivates and guides everything we do. It goes like this…

We win when a student takes a step toward owning their faith and joining God on His mission. There are two kinds of environments for students in our ministry. Each one is designed to strategically invite students on a journey into deeper relationships with their peers, leaders, and Jesus, and each one is designed with every student in mind – the student who’s grown up in church and the first-time visitor, too.

Special Events: Throughout the year, we’ll host several big events designed to help students connect with their peers and small group leaders. Special events are often the place where students will walk into our ministry for the very first time.

Small groups: are the most important part of what we do. They happen every week in our programs, but the relationships built in small groups extend outside the walls of our church. They’re designed to connect every student with a consistent adult and community where they can be discipled.

Our mission is to reach this generation for Jesus Christ with a message of hope and purpose. How are we going to do that?

3 ways:

1) Reach – reach students with the message of Jesus
2) Teach – teach students to grow in maturity
3) Empower – empower students to live with a purpose
